Key Responsibilities:

  • 15% Collaborate effectively with the District Manager and team to align on store objectives and address challenges; ensure the execution of the retail strategy through established playbooks and priority communications.
  • 15% Analyze sales and financial data to identify opportunities and successes in key areas; guide the store team in consistently improving performance; monitor shrink and safety metrics to implement necessary improvements.
  • 10% Conduct regular store assessments with Assistant Managers and Department Supervisors to identify sales and service opportunities, and develop actionable plans for enhancement.
  • 20% Lead weekly meetings with management staff to set and track store goals; foster associate engagement and promote initiatives that enhance the workplace culture.
  • 20% Provide training and coaching to store management and associates on operational standards, merchandising practices, and profitability strategies; ensure alignment and operational improvements among leadership teams.
  • 20% Support the rollout and monitoring of new initiatives and pilot programs aimed at simplifying store operations; ensure adequate stock levels and address out-of-stock situations promptly.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports directly to the District Manager.
  • Manages a team of 4-9 direct reports.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional overnight travel, typically less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires periods of physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting, which may involve heavy or awkward items.

Working Environment:

  • Work is primarily conducted in a comfortable indoor setting, with occasional mild discomfort.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in merchandising or operations.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in a retail environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule of at least 55 hours per week.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.

Competencies:

  • Ability to interpret sales reports and leverage opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience in managing shrink and enhancing safety performance.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is between $100,000 - $110,000.
