Key Responsibilities for Community Operations Manager:

  • Foster a positive and professional rapport with both the onsite staff and supervisory team.
  • Collaborate closely with the Field Operations Manager to ensure the community operates within the established budget.
  • Uphold rental policies as detailed in the management plan.
  • Work alongside the onsite team to reduce the turnaround time for vacant units.
  • Process applications and lease units in accordance with the Tenant Selection Plan.
  • Adhere to verification protocols as outlined in HUD Handbook and Management Policies.
  • Conduct unit inspections and ensure prompt resolution of any deficiencies.
  • Prepare and issue recertification notices as necessary.
  • Maintain strong relationships with tenants while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations.
  • Build connections with local agencies and governmental organizations.
  • Provide regular occupancy and financial reports to management.
  • Manage tenant documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Follow company policies regarding petty cash management and reconciliations.

  • Professional demeanor in managing relationships with residents and team members.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.
  • Experience with property management software such as OneSite, Yardi, and CashPro is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ADP WorkforceNow is a plus.

Experience and Education:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience managing housing under HUD Section 202/8, 202, or 811 Programs.

Physical Requirements:

Constantly: Sitting, using hands for computer operations.

Occasionally: Standing, walking, stooping, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Work Environment: May involve exposure to various conditions and hazards.
