Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery Part Time Days NCB

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, medication administration, and other medical interventions as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of patient care plans and progress.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
- AHA ACLS and AHA NRP certifications within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
- Fetal Monitoring - L&D and Antepartum: Novice RNs must complete GNOSIS introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring within 30 days of hire date or transfer date into unit, and AWHONN Intermediate Heart Monitoring within 8 months of L&D Orientation. Experienced L&D RNs must have AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring on hire or within the first 90 days of hire.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. – Level 2 Nursery: Must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit.
- AHA PALS certification within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
