Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Part Time Days

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at North Central Baptist Hospitals. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to expectant mothers and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, and take appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and document patient care in the medical record.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- AHA ACLS certification within 60 days of hire.
- AHA NRP certification within 60 days of hire.
- Fetal Monitoring - L&D and Antepartum certification within 30 days of hire.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. - Level 2 Nursery certification within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Two years of experience in acute care, preferably in Labor and Delivery.
