Job Title: Senior Relationship Manager, GFO

The Global Family & Private Investment Offices team (GFO) is a sales and client servicing group within the Wealth Management division, dedicated to supporting ultra-high net worth individuals and families with over $500 million in investable assets. Our clients require a personal and high-touch approach, as well as the highest level of discretion.

Job Description Summary

As a Senior Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for acting as our clients' lead relationship manager, providing technical and industry expertise in managing complex multi-generational wealth management relationships. You will anticipate and identify opportunities for expanding business relationships, act as a key consultant to senior client contacts, and assist in policy or process redesign.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of trust and custody services, identifying and analyzing client needs, recommending improvements, and assessing the impact of newly recommended or additional financial services.
  • Act as a key consultant to senior client contacts, assisting in the formulation of policy recommendations, redesign of processes, and creative problem-solving.
  • Facilitate strategic planning sessions to develop additional solutions to client needs.
  • Anticipate or create opportunities for enhancing client relationships through additional services or increased consulting activities.
  • Manage complex trust and custody client relationships.
  • Ensure overall client satisfaction by facilitating efforts of the service team, coordinating resources to ensure timely delivery and issue-resolution, and effectively communicating client concerns/needs to partners.
  • Educate clients on emerging issues, regulatory and tax changes, and the general financial environment.
  • Translate the impact on client activities and how it relates to bank services.
  • Identify additional bank services and solutions and lead the development of new solutions to client needs.
  • Coordinate presentations, bring in experts when appropriate, close the sale, ensure smooth delivery of new services, and communicate emerging needs.
  • Manage and understand drivers of client profitability and drive increased margins.
  • Understand the competitive environment and anticipate and identify opportunities, develop pricing strategies, and work with the team to enhance profitability.
  • Recommend new services with an awareness of organizational implications of these decisions.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of trust and asset servicing is required to manage complex Single Family Office client relationships.
  • Knowledge of general finance and portfolio management concepts is needed to consult on client needs.
  • Skills in negotiation, leadership, delegation, and sales are necessary to service the client relationship.
Experience:
  • 10-15 years in financial servicing; minimum 5 years in trust and asset services.
