Position: Building Engineer


Overview: EGS is seeking a qualified Building Engineer to oversee the operational integrity of mechanical and electrical systems. This role is vital for maintaining the functionality of essential building systems.


Key Responsibilities:


• Manage the operation, repair, and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

• Conduct installations of electrical circuits and perform necessary repairs on plumbing fixtures.

• Ensure systems are safely secured for maintenance activities.

• Handle routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks, including filter changes and lubrication of equipment.

• Respond to service requests and emergencies, taking immediate action to resolve issues.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs, reporting findings to management.


Qualifications:


• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in building systems operations, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

  • Proven skills in repairing and maintaining building systems.
  • Experience in safely managing electrical and hydronic systems.
  • Basic carpentry and soldering skills.
  • Familiarity with fire safety systems and emergency generators.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform calculations.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices in maintenance operations.
  • Hospital experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and climbing. The role may require lifting heavy objects and working in various environmental conditions.
