Strategic Risk Transfer Role Overview Purpose of the Role As a Vice President, Strategic Risk Transfer at Barclays, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of life-cycle events for live strategic risk transfers. You will provide subject matter expertise across key metrics such as P&L, RWA, Liquidity & Capital, and Balance Sheet. Key Responsibilities * Develop and present compelling strategic recommendations to senior management, addressing key business challenges and opportunities. * Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies, recommending adjustments as needed. * Communicate complex strategic information clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders. * Identify and assess potential risks associated with the bank's strategic plans and recommend mitigation strategies. * Conduct in-depth research and analysis of internal and external data, including market trends, competitor analysis, and economic forecasts. Vice President Expectations * Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment. * Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda. * Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does. * Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business. * Collaborate with other areas of work, for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies. * Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. * Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem-solving processes. * Seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes. Requirements * More than five years of risk transfer, structuring, and securitization experience. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop innovative solutions. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders. * Strong business acumen, with a comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions and the ability to contribute to achieving the goals of the business. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
