As a Senior Risk Analytics Specialist, you will be instrumental in the execution and enhancement of credit risk strategies and models across our proprietary systems and external partnerships. Your technical proficiency will be key in converting intricate credit risk models into functional code, ensuring smooth integration and precise risk evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with risk analysts and data scientists to transform credit risk intentions and models into effective and dependable software solutions within the Point-of-Sale/Lending sector.
  • Engage cross-departmentally to discover new opportunities and enhance existing system functionalities.
  • Liaise with business units, technology teams, decision sciences, and product management to comprehend proposed modifications and facilitate, execute, and troubleshoot deployments.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to assess data/products and their integration into various platforms.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Develop testing and control protocols to guarantee execution accuracy and effective post-implementation monitoring.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency and scalability of implemented models and application logic.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience in software development, particularly within the financial services or risk management sectors, focusing on risk and/or compliance implementations.
  • Over 4 years of experience in designing and developing data-driven solutions utilizing Python and related frameworks, such as Django, Flask, or Fast API.
  • Proficient in Git for version control and GitLab for collaborative development and CI/CD integration.
  • Strong command of Python and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, preferably AWS).
  • Experience in working with credit bureau data, machine learning infrastructure, and microservices architecture, along with creating scalable and resilient applications using containers and cloud services.
  • Understanding of software testing and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
