About the Role:

Clay Lacy Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Aircraft Maintenance Operations to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of aircraft maintenance, ensuring the highest level of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Direct and oversee all maintenance activities, programs, inspections, analytics, projections, coordination, and project management for assigned aircraft.
  • Aircraft Maintenance: Perform light and moderate work on aircraft, including pre/post-flight inspections, and coordinate moderate and heavy maintenance in efficient intervals to optimize aircraft dispatchability.
  • Record Keeping: Establish and maintain records as required by the FAR's, manufacture, and Clay Lacy company policies in accordance with Part 91 or Part 135 standards and requirements.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer service are provided to Clay Lacy and its customers.
  • Vendor Management: Improve vendor/supplier relationships, contracts, and support services.
  • Communication: Represent Clay Lacy in aviation matters through trade associations, the FAA, state or municipal aviation bodies, airport management, community organizations, and contract agencies.
  • Safety Management: Act as resident expert on matters related to all aspects of safety, identify and report safety hazards, and utilize CLA's SMS program to identify and mitigate risk.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide weekly maintenance schedule updates, monthly maintenance projections, and 24-month projections, inclusive of downtime, estimated costs, and coordination.
  • Quality Control: Review vendor invoices, close out work orders, and input and update all aircraft discrepancies in Corridor tracking program.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience (A&P).
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of A&P related duties, with some experience in maintaining aircraft model being assigned, and 3 years' experience in managing subordinates or contractors.
  • Certifications: Current and valid US issued FAA A&P Certificate.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and tasks to meet deadlines, and willingness to travel for all aircraft maintenance events.
