Northrop Grumman is in search of skilled professionals with a background in P-3 aircraft to contribute to a maintenance initiative with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Jacksonville, FL.

The CBP P-3 fleet includes Airborne Early Warning (AEW) and Long Range Tracker (LRT) high-endurance, all-weather, tactical turbo-prop aircraft.

Your primary responsibility will be to assess aircraft maintenance on systems, equipment, and components for functionality and adherence to customer and corporate standards.


Your responsibilities include:
Evaluating the adjustments, repairs, or modifications performed on the P-3 aircraft and its components.

Overseeing, validating, and documenting work quality in line with statistical process and other control protocols.

Ensuring the airworthiness of P-3 aircraft and subcomponents.

Conducting inspections of aircraft and subsystems, both scheduled and unscheduled.

Performing audits and spot checks of site programs and processes.

Reviewing work packages for thoroughness and precision.

Making necessary entries into the Electronic Maintenance Records system.

Generating weekly and Ad Hoc reports from the Electronic Maintenance Records system.

Supporting the In-House Repair shops as needed.

Conducting root cause analysis investigations of part or process failures.

Assisting Maintenance Control with the preparation of urgent reports.

Conducting and documenting trend analysis.

A current Airframe and Powerplant license with an Inspection Authorization (IA) certification.

Basic Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of experience related to large multi-engine turboprop aircraft maintenance.

Familiarity with various Aviation or Aerospace practices.

Understanding of diverse Aviation Inspection practices and Quality standards.

A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with the application and use of technical data and blueprints.


A minimum of 4 years of experience in analyzing situations to uncover facts, knowledge, and interpretations to execute prescribed actions.

A minimum of 4 years' experience with aircraft logbooks and airworthiness release of aircraft.

Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook).

Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends.

Capability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport for OCONUS travel.

Willingness to travel on short notice for at least 10% of the year.

Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Active Secret Level Security Clearance.

Availability to be on-call 24/7 throughout the year.

Ability to obtain/maintain a CBP Background Investigation (BI) is essential to commence work.

Preferred Qualifications:
Active Flight Operations site experience with large multiengine aircraft.

10 years' maintenance experience with the P-3 platform.

Current Active CBP Security Credentials.

Four years of aircraft maintenance inspection experience.

Working knowledge of NavAir publications.

Salary Range:
$35 - $35
