Position Overview:
The Administrative Coordinator will provide essential support to the Dean of Students and the Student Engagement team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Dean of Students by managing confidential information, attending meetings, and taking detailed minutes; oversee the Dean's calendar and maintain a professional office environment.
  • Act as the primary administrator for the Advocate software, facilitating behavior, conduct, and reporting processes.
  • Support general office operations, including tracking deadlines, maintaining financial records, and assisting with logistics and room reservations.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Student Care and Engagement Work Group, supporting various directors within the department.
  • Maintain communication records with other departments regarding planning and scheduling; attend meetings and document minutes as necessary.
  • Design and distribute evaluation and assessment surveys, compiling reports as required.
  • Help maintain the Student Life & Formation section on the university's website.
  • Assist at the Student Life & Formation reception area, welcoming students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including support during peak periods such as New Student Orientation.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated administrative and clerical experience, including supervisory roles.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Maxient, and Workday.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to create a welcoming office atmosphere.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships among students, parents, and university departments.
  • Enjoyment of collaborative work environments.
  • Evidence of Christian commitment and active participation in church life; adherence to PLNU's Community Life Covenant is required.
  • Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.

Physical Requirements:
Position involves significant periods of sitting, use of computer equipment, and effective communication with others in person and by phone. Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs may be required.
