Position Summary
FUNCTION:
Under the guidance of the Dean of Student Affairs across various colleges and Continuing Education, serve as the official representative for students, addressing all shared governance issues pertinent to their respective institutions and the District.
The Board acknowledges that student organizations play a vital role in fostering personal growth through educational, political, cultural, social, and recreational activities, thereby enhancing student engagement.
Students within the District are empowered to establish student body organizations and clubs.
Key Responsibilities
REQUIRED TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
Students eligible to run for election in the credit program must maintain enrollment in a minimum of 5 credit units each semester, including during the election period, and uphold a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
Elections will be conducted in accordance with established Administrative Procedures.

SELECTED CANDIDATE MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT:
- Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam for initial appointment (Note: The certificate must be renewed every 4 years as a condition of continued employment).
- Undergo fingerprinting through a Live Scan process at the district's expense (Clearance must be received prior to the first day of employment).
- Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
