Job Summary

Encon Heating & AC is seeking a skilled HVAC Commercial Install Crew Leader / Foreman to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with technicians, project managers, clients, and installers to achieve project goals.
  • Understand and interpret ductwork systems and equipment layouts; read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Develop expertise in new construction and retrofit projects, including knowledge of Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA) guidelines for ductwork installation.
  • Order materials in advance for projects or work with the purchasing team to ensure timely delivery.
  • Execute work independently and lead multiple crews to complete projects efficiently.
  • Proactively identify potential obstacles to project completion and develop solutions in partnership with the superintendent, builder, and management.
  • Help schedule projects and allocate technician and installer resources to meet project deadlines.
  • Attend team meetings as required.
Requirements
  • Years of experience in HVAC Commercial Installation with a proven track record of success.
  • Must hold a current Connecticut trade license.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Must demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and team-player skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent attendance is essential for this role.
  • Critical thinking skills and good decision-making ability.
Eligibility
  • Employment and education will be verified.

  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Eligible to work weekends and nights as needed.
Physical Demands
  • Able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
  • Able to work safely in confined spaces, such as attics, basements, closets, and crawl spaces.
  • Able to work safely at elevated heights, such as rooftops, ceilings, and ladders.
  • Able to bend, crawl, stoop, stretch, and reach.
  • Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Able to work off a ladder, sometimes at heights.
  • Able to safely lift 50 pounds.
