Job Overview

Encon Heating & AC is seeking a skilled HVAC Commercial Installation Crew Leader to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with technicians, project managers, clients, and installers to achieve project goals.
  • Understand and interpret ductwork systems and equipment layouts, as well as read blueprints.
  • Develop expertise in new construction and retrofit projects.
  • Apply knowledge of Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA) standards for ductwork installation.
  • Order materials in advance for projects or work with the purchasing team.
  • Execute work independently and lead multiple crews to complete projects.
  • Proactively identify potential obstacles to project completion and develop solutions in partnership with the superintendent, builder, and management.
  • Help schedule projects and allocate technician and installer support to meet project deadlines.
  • Attend team meetings as needed.
Requirements
  • Years of experience in HVAC Commercial Installation.
  • Current Connecticut trade license.
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in proactive problem-solving.
  • Strong decision-making ability.
  • Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent attendance is an essential function.
  • Critical thinking skills and good decision-making ability.
Eligibility
  • Employment/education will be verified.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Encon Heating & AC is a drug-free workplace and requires post-offer pre-employment drug testing.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • This position requires a valid driver's license.
  • Eligible to work weekends and nights as needed.
Physical Demands
  • Able to work in various extreme weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
  • Able to work safely in confined spaces such as attics, basements, closets, and crawl spaces.
  • Able to work safely at elevated heights such as rooftops, ceilings, and ladders.
  • Able to bend, crawl, stoop, stretch, and reach.
  • Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Able to work off a ladder, sometimes at heights.
  • Able to safely lift 50 pounds.
