Accounts Payable Specialist I Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist I to join our team at The Chickasaw Nation. As an Accounts Payable Specialist I, you will be responsible for reconciling vendor statements, matching invoices to purchase orders, and entering payments for invoices and purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Match invoices to purchase orders to ensure proper payment
  • Enter payments for invoices and purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Research vendor accounts to resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Reconcile purchase card transactions, process payments, and post expenses for charges
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • 2 years of directly related experience in accounts payable
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Working Conditions:

  • Work in an office setting with occasional travel to other locations
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
