We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN - Trauma Quality Coordinator to join our team at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. As a key member of our Trauma Committee, you will play a critical role in leading improvement processes activities for the trauma population.
Key Responsibilities- Lead quality improvement initiatives for the trauma population, including reviewing patient charts, analyzing quality indicators, and reporting to the Trauma Committee.
- Assist in monitoring and coordinating all aspects of the Trauma Service Performance Improvement and Patient Safety program.
- Develop and implement injury prevention activities based on local epidemiological data and Providence Holy Cross trauma population.
- Coordinate and deliver trauma education for clinicians involved in the care of trauma patients, including EMS, Emergency, and Acute Care.
- Assist in coordinating trauma care for patients throughout their hospitalization.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months of hire.
- Three years of experience in Trauma, Emergency, or Critical Care within a healthcare organization.
- Coursework/Training in ICD-10, Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) scoring course.
- Coursework/Training in American Trauma Society Basic Trauma Registrar course.
- Recent experience in Emergency, Critical Care, or Trauma nursing.
- Experience with collector software and the State Trauma Registry.
- Experience with chart audits.
