Job Summary

The Clinical Research Manager will oversee the organization, coordination, and implementation of clinical research trials at Brown University Oncology Group. This role will manage all aspects of clinical trials, including protocol review, electronic data capture, patient eligibility, data analysis, and monitoring studies at hospital sites.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical research, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They will also possess a willingness to support a diverse and inclusive campus community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage clinical trials from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations, GCP guidelines, and internal standard operating procedures.
  • Review study protocols, design and maintain electronic data capture databases, and review patient eligibility for clinical trials.
  • Conduct data analysis and querying, monitor studies at hospital sites, and serve as a resource to hospital staff as applicable.
  • Assist the Director and Assistant Director with special projects and ad-hoc tasks as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of clinical research experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of clinical research experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience working on clinical research trials is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, including oncology terminology, is required.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with multiple constituencies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain focused despite frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to treat confidential information with utmost discretion.
  • Possesses a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive campus community.
