Position Overview: Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant is integral to providing vital financial insights to our management team. This position encompasses the preparation of financial statements, account reconciliations, general ledger oversight, support during audits, and a variety of accounting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the monthly and annual closing processes.
- Initiate and assess journal entries.
- Oversee account reconciliations, including prepaid expenses and other items.
- Provide timely updates on fixed assets for financial reporting.
- Ensure the completion of month-end tasks for precise financial reporting.
- Manage reconciliations of balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Analyze and monitor profit & loss trends.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of accrual-based accounting principles.
- Engage in special projects and financial analysis.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect the integrity of the company’s operations.
- Encourage teamwork and collaboration.
- Perform additional accounting duties as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in general accounting.
- Strong expertise in fixed assets, general ledger management, and financial reporting tools.
- In-depth knowledge of account reconciliations, balance sheet assessments, and journal entries.
- Excellent communication skills are essential due to regular interaction with senior management.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while managing confidential information.
