Logistics Training Coordinator

Position Overview:
As a Logistics Training Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the onboarding experience for new team members within our supply chain operations. Your expertise will ensure that all new Selectors and Drivers receive comprehensive training to excel in their roles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the complete training process for new hires during their initial 90 days, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet performance expectations.
• Lead a dedicated team of Trainers and new Associates through an extensive onboarding program, focusing on key performance indicators such as productivity, quality, and safety.
• Coordinate all facets of training, including scheduling, resource allocation, classroom instruction, and hands-on training on the warehouse floor.
• Provide constructive feedback and coaching to enhance performance in both classroom and practical settings.
• Foster a supportive mentoring environment for new Selectors and Drivers to promote engagement and retention throughout the onboarding journey.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of Trainers and Associates at various milestones to ensure training objectives are achieved.
• Gather and assess data related to training effectiveness, safety, and retention to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Field Market Trainers to align training efforts and share best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols while helping new and existing Associates meet productivity targets.
• Work closely with Operations leadership and HR to track the progress of new hires and identify coaching opportunities.
• Report performance metrics and retention statistics to senior management, offering training recommendations based on observed trends.
• Participate in the recruitment and performance evaluation processes to align training needs with operational goals.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of the facility and address any hazards appropriately, maintaining a safe working environment.
Supervision:
• Direct oversight of all new hires (Selectors & Drivers) during their onboarding phase, with an estimated 4-5 new starts per week.
• Supervise Selector Trainers dedicated to the onboarding and training of new employees.
Work Environment:
• Exposure to varying temperatures within the distribution center, including both cold and warm environments.
• Frequent interaction with internal Associates and occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of two years of training or facilitation experience is essential, ideally within a supply chain or warehouse context.
• At least one year of experience in a supervisory role is required.
• Prior leadership experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with powered industrial trucks (PIT) is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education:
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is strongly preferred.
Preferred Skills:
• Exceptional facilitation, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret operational metrics effectively.
• Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of inventory control and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and HAACP is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform various physical activities, including standing, walking, and lifting, as outlined in the job specifications.
Compensation:
The expected salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $110,000, along with eligibility for an annual incentive plan bonus. Comprehensive benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more.
