Position: Field Service Technician for Construction Equipment

Butler Machinery Company is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to operate in various locations, providing exceptional service and support for our heavy machinery clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field service operations, which may include overnight travel.
  • Utilize a Field Service Truck to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Be available for emergency repair situations outside of regular hours.
  • Complete necessary documentation such as service reports and time cards promptly.
  • Engage effectively with clients and supervisors to ensure clear communication.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across various diesel technology systems, including electrical and hydraulic components.
  • Perform all necessary repairs and maintenance on construction machinery.
  • Make decisions that prioritize the best interests of customers and the company.
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Embody and promote the core values and mission of Butler Machinery Company.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Two-year Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in construction equipment repair is essential.
  • Basic welding skills and familiarity with cutting tools are advantageous.
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
  • Knowledge of relevant software systems is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Must possess a clean driving record and be able to obtain a CDL.
  • Residence within the surrounding area is preferred.
