Equipment Maintenance Technician

The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality of all machinery and equipment at NexTier Completion Solutions, Inc. This role involves making informed decisions regarding the upkeep and servicing of company assets.
Key Responsibilities- Provide guidance, training, and support to junior maintenance staff.
- Oversee equipment performance during operational activities and execute repairs as necessary.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards set forth by NexTier and relevant authorities.
- Exhibit proficient driving skills in applicable DOT vehicles.
- Acquire necessary certifications and licenses as required for the role.
- Familiarize oneself with auxiliary equipment used in maintenance tasks.
- Demonstrate a consistent commitment to service excellence, quality, and safety.
- Interpret diagrams and schematics to follow work procedures effectively.
- Utilize hoisting and lifting devices to safely position machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance and address non-routine repairs on all company assets.
- Perform lubrication, servicing, diagnostics, repairs, assembly, and general maintenance on vehicles.
- Stay updated on industry standards and practices.
- Ensure all work is thoroughly inspected for safety compliance upon completion.
- Confirm that all equipment meets DOT compliance after repairs.
- Execute all assigned responsibilities diligently.
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated expertise in areas such as engine mechanics, electronic diagnostics, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, HVAC, suspension, cryogenics, and transmission systems, supported by company and OEM training.
Comprehensive knowledge of shop equipment and the operational environment is essential, extending beyond basic hand tools.
Familiarity with applicable DOT regulations is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are necessary to comprehend and convey instructions effectively.
Ability to interpret safety manuals, operational guidelines, and policies, and communicate this information clearly.
Capability to produce reports and simple correspondence, presenting information effectively to colleagues, clients, or management.
Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team setting.
Adaptability to changing work conditions is crucial.
Commitment to promoting safety awareness and adhering to quality, health, safety, and environmental policies is expected.
Minimum Required EducationHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. is mandatory, or equivalent applicable experience.
Minimum Required Work ExperienceA minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
