Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for examining assembled components for defects and deviations from specifications. Your duties will include reviewing assigned parts against technical drawings and process documentation to ensure compliance with customer standards. You will conduct tests on all electrical components and measure them using tools such as ohm meters, rulers, and micrometers. Any parts that do not conform will need to be returned to the assembly team for correction or designated for disposal if they cannot be repaired.

Key Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • This position is limited to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act) due to access to export-controlled technology. Proof of status will be required prior to employment.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Willingness and ability to use basic hand tools (e.g., dremel, cut-off tools) and measuring instruments (e.g., dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges).
  • Willingness and ability to perform electrical testing methods (e.g., ohm meter, gauss meter, surge test, hi-pot).
  • Basic understanding of interpreting blueprints and process sheets, including knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Ability to pass a visual acuity exam upon offer.
  • Willingness to obtain certification in Braze, Weld, and Solder inspection as required.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Utilize manual or automated measurement and testing equipment to ensure product quality.
  • Identify and document non-conforming parts, using Oracle to maintain inspection records.
  • Inspect all raw materials and purchased components to verify compliance with design specifications.
  • Apply statistical process control and quality control techniques as necessary.
  • Perform job functions according to internal specifications and third-party requirements.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Assist in root cause analysis for support functions.
  • Proactively seek to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Cross-train colleagues as needed based on expertise.
  • Accurately complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
  • Report issues to the appropriate resources or supervisor.
  • Keep all shift operators informed of any operational or setup issues.
  • Communicate with the team to ensure awareness of product deficiencies, new processes, or challenges. Participate in and support team initiatives.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • This position is limited to U.S. persons due to access to export-controlled technology. Proof of status will be required prior to employment.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Quality System requirements (e.g., AS9100).
  • Proficiency in understanding special process operations (e.g., brazing, soldering, welding, coating).
  • General knowledge of electrical components and testing methods.
  • Specific knowledge in Receiving, Electrical, or Mechanical Inspection.
  • Preferred experience in assembly, soldering, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience in a self-directed team environment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
The compensation for this position is $19/hour. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission as per the plan.
