Job Overview

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing the quality standards of assigned suppliers, implementing quality plans, and overseeing supplier qualifications. You will drive supplier performance improvements through scorecard assessments and manage supplier audits to ensure compliance with established standards. Your role will significantly impact the quality of your work and that of your team, focusing on executing standard procedures and providing guidance within a structured framework.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties
  • Engage in both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development, which encompasses supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance evaluations, and guiding key suppliers towards achieving industrial excellence.
  • Expand your understanding of theories, practices, and procedures within your discipline to effectively implement functional policies and strategies.
  • Develop a foundational knowledge of essential business drivers to enhance your work performance, while understanding how your team's efforts integrate with broader organizational goals.
  • Exercise some degree of autonomy in decision-making within a defined framework, addressing issues that require sound judgment and knowledge of established procedures. Consult with senior team members for guidance on complex matters.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, particularly in customer-facing roles, to build robust relationships and serve as the liaison between customers and the organization, effectively communicating technical information.
Essential Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant quality experience.
Preferred Attributes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document, plan, and execute programs effectively.
  • Familiarity with APQP and PPAP methodologies, along with core defect prevention tools such as PFMEA, PFD, CP, MSA, and CpK.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is competitive and may vary based on the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance metrics.
