Mechanical Engineer II

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer II to join our team at American Systems Corporation. As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will play a critical role in providing engineering support for the United States Submarine Force.
Key Responsibilities- Develop submarine shipboard alterations to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct static analyses of mechanical structures to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
- Perform hydrodynamic analyses under various at-sea operational conditions to inform design and engineering decisions.
- Develop models to predict performance and optimize system efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Design Team to select materials based on in-process stress calculations and commercial/military specifications.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of design and engineering products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Interface with customers and government sponsors to provide technical expertise and support.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
- Eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- At least 2+ years of professional experience in AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, or Solidworks, as well as MATHCAD Engineering Mathematics Software.
