Key Responsibilities

Core Duties
  • Involves both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development, including supplier qualifications, corrective action plans, audits, performance tracking, and supporting key suppliers in achieving industry excellence standards. Supplier Quality Engineers possess varying levels of expertise related to their understanding of engineering specifications and vendor management capabilities.
  • Enhance knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures within the discipline to implement functional policies and strategies; still advancing functional expertise and skills.
  • Basic comprehension of essential business drivers; utilizes this insight to fulfill individual responsibilities. Understands how the work of the team integrates with other departments and contributes to overall objectives.
  • May exercise some discretion in decision-making within a defined framework. Addresses issues that require solid knowledge and judgment within established protocols. Consults with senior team members for matters beyond defined policies or parameters.
  • This position necessitates strong interpersonal abilities. For roles involving customer interaction, builds robust customer relationships and acts as the liaison between the customer and the organization. Communicates technical information effectively to others.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance.
Preferred Attributes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in documenting, planning, marketing, and executing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), along with core defect prevention methodologies (PFMEA, PFD, CP, MSA, and CpK).
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role is competitive and may vary based on the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of the base salary.
