Job Summary:

Vets Hired is seeking a highly skilled Submarine Fire Control and Sonar Systems Tester to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough testing and validation of submarine fire control and sonar systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing and Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of submarine fire control and sonar systems to identify and report any defects or issues.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration throughout the testing process.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and analyze test failures to determine root cause and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Bug Reporting and Tracking: Write clear and concise bug reports and track issues to ensure timely resolution and verification of fixes.
  • Mentorship and Training: Mentor junior test engineers and provide guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Determine and report metrics for testing and provide results to stakeholders to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in testing and validation of complex systems, preferably in a submarine fire control and sonar systems context.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and proficiency in testing tools and methodologies.

Work Environment:

Vets Hired is a remote-friendly company, and this role can be performed from a remote location. However, occasional on-site visits may be required.
