Position Overview
The Advanced Propulsion team is seeking a dynamic leader to contribute to the design and development of the next-generation fast attack submarine, SSN(X). This role presents a unique opportunity to influence the design of the Navy's premier attack submarine platform from its inception.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
1. Collaborate with an engineering team focused on turbine generator development.
2. Oversee the electrical components and systems integral to turbine generators, including:
   a. Concept design
   b. Specification and requirements development
   c. Supplier evaluation and selection
   d. Component production, testing, and validation
   e. Technical problem resolution
3. Assist the engineering manager in formulating strategies, goals, milestones, schedules, risk management plans, and cost estimations.

Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program with 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; or a Ph.D. with no experience required.

Nice to Have:
- Expertise in turbine generator electrical components, including generators, exciters, voltage regulators, speed governors, magnetic bearings, and control systems.
- Proficiency in technical writing and the ability to review and provide feedback on deliverables.
- Strong communication skills for presenting to stakeholders.
- Background in systems engineering or project management to effectively translate technical requirements into comprehensive solutions.
