Job Description

Overview:

The Plant Quality Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that all operations within the facility adhere to the standards set forth by the Faurecia Excellence System. This position requires a focus on both Internal and External Customers, while aligning with Quality, Division, Business Group, and Corporate guidelines. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members; effectively communicating job expectations; planning for quality personnel needs.
  • Advocating for customer requirements within the organization.
  • Establishing and achieving Plant Quality objectives while monitoring progress.
  • Overseeing the Plant Quality System in accordance with the Faurecia Excellence System.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Safety and regulatory standards within the Plant.
  • Reporting Quality results to relevant stakeholders and maintaining comprehensive Quality records and documentation.
  • Collaborating with the Purchasing department on Supplier Quality Assurance initiatives.
  • Developing quality assurance strategies through analysis, identifying critical controls, preventive measures, monitoring and verification of procedures, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Enhancing product quality by conducting system audits, surveillance audits, addressing customer concerns, and working with management to innovate product and engineering designs, as well as manufacturing and training methods.
  • Meeting financial quality objectives by preparing the annual budget and initiating necessary corrective actions.
  • Halting manufacturing or product delivery when Quality cannot be guaranteed.
  • Completing all responsibilities and assignments in a timely manner.
  • Upholding the highest ethical standards and demonstrating a commitment to Faurecia's Code of Ethics and Code of Management.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably within the automotive sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality in Production.
  • A process-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
