Job Description

Overview:

The Plant Quality Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that all processes within the plant adhere to the standards set forth by the Faurecia Excellence System. This position requires a focus on both Internal and External Customers, Quality, Division, Business Group, and Corporate guidelines. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, selecting, training, and mentoring employees; setting clear job expectations; and planning for quality personnel needs.
  • Advocating for customer requirements within the organization.
  • Establishing and monitoring Plant Quality objectives to track progress.
  • Overseeing the Plant Quality System in alignment with the Faurecia Excellence System.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Safety and regulatory standards.
  • Reporting Quality metrics to relevant stakeholders and maintaining comprehensive Quality documentation.
  • Collaborating with the Purchasing department on Supplier Quality Assurance initiatives.
  • Developing quality assurance strategies through analysis, identifying critical controls, implementing preventive measures, and ensuring proper monitoring and corrective actions.
  • Enhancing product quality by conducting system audits, addressing customer concerns, and working with management to innovate product and engineering designs, as well as manufacturing and training processes.
  • Achieving quality-related financial goals by preparing budgets and initiating necessary corrective actions.
  • Halting manufacturing or product delivery when Quality assurance is compromised.
  • Executing all responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Upholding the highest ethical standards and adhering to Faurecia's Code of Ethics and Management Principles.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably within the automotive sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Quality in Production.
  • A process-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Experience in managing customer relationships.
