Job Summary

As a Quality Assurance Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet established standards of appearance and performance. You will conduct hourly inspections to identify defects and prevent non-conforming products from reaching customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and Minimize Defects: Assess part quality, process quality, and material handling/storage to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct Testing and Reporting: Perform required testing and report findings to ensure product conformity.
  • Communicate Status and Acceptance: Properly communicate status and acceptance of test specimens to the production team.
  • Ensure Conformity to Product Standards: Verify that products meet established standards throughout the production run.
  • Perform Dimensional Inspections: Use small hand gauges to inspect products for dimensional accuracy.
  • Validate Material Selection and Use: Ensure that materials are properly selected and used in accordance with work orders.
  • Communicate Production Status: Properly communicate status of production with regards to quality.
  • Approve and Release Job Start-Ups: Approve and release job start-ups and validate process changes.
  • Enter Material Acceptances and Rejections: Scan and enter material acceptances and rejections within IQMS software.
  • Collaborate with Assembly, Molding, Process, and Team Leaders: Work closely with team members to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform Lab Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards: Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Food Safety and FDA Regulations: Good understanding of food safety standards and FDA regulations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 35 lbs. on occasion or frequently.
