Description:

CAN Community Health, a leading provider of HIV services, is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse Level 1 to join our team in Sarasota, FL. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care under the direct supervision of a Medical Provider (MD, PA, APRN) and Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient quality of life through basic nursing care
  • Perform patient triage, including vital sign assessment and documentation in the EMR
  • Process medication refills and perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and processing
  • Administer intravenous fluids and medications under the direction of a Medical Provider
  • Practice safety, environmental, and infection control methods
  • Document patient care accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with grant requirements

Requirements:

  • LPN/LVN graduate of an accredited school of nursing, currently licensed to practice in the state of Florida
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) Certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficient in using a computer and electronic medical record system
  • Ability to maintain patient, team member, and employer confidentiality, complying with HIPAA regulations
