Job Title: ASSOULINE Customer Experience Representative

Indigo Books & Music is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Experience Representative to join our team. As a key member of our luxury retail team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and promoting our brand values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be the brand ambassador in our luxury, specialty book shop, creating a warm and welcoming environment for customers.
  • Act as the point of contact for corporate and gifting sales, sourcing new opportunities and providing excellent customer service.
  • Attend product training sessions monthly and quarterly to stay up-to-date on new products and services.
  • Train other staff members on ASSOULINE product knowledge, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Process transactions for sales, returns, and exchanges within the shop, providing accurate and efficient service.
  • Interact with designers, decorators, and other home decor customers, providing suggestions to curate a collection of offerings for potential clients.
  • Provide input to the buying team on assortment, ensuring that our product offerings meet customer needs.
  • Attend book fairs and other off-site sales opportunities, representing Indigo and promoting our brand.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in specialty retail or a retail service role, with a focus on luxury and customer experience.
  • Knowledge of specialty books or print business is highly preferred but not required.
  • Preferred candidates will have 2-3 years of sales experience in a one-on-one retail environment.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn new things and be exposed to all aspects of the store.
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating an exceptional employee and customer experience.
  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, late nights, and early mornings.
