About the Role

We're seeking a talented Customer Experience Representative to join our team at Indigo Books & Music. As a key member of our sales floor team, you'll play a vital role in creating an exceptional experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Approach customers to offer assistance and share your passion for books and learning
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment in our stores
  • Add joy to our customers' lives by providing personalized recommendations and exceptional service
  • Leverage our product to tell stories and connect customers with our brand
  • Engage and connect with customers on the sales floor, building relationships and fostering a sense of community
  • Curate specific product collections for each customer you meet, showcasing our unique offerings
  • Role model Indigo's High Performance Characteristics, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Seek information regarding new products, promotions, and programs to stay up-to-date on the latest offerings
  • Contribute to an environment where everyone knows their health and safety is a top priority, actively participating in ensuring the well-being of colleagues and customers
  • Take accountability to respond to customer feedback in a timely manner, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Hold self and others accountable, promoting a culture of ownership and responsibility
  • Own self-development, providing continuous feedback to colleagues and the Leadership Team, and sharing ideas on how to improve the employee and customer experience
Qualifications
  • Experience in specialty retail or a retail service role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn new things and be exposed to all aspects of the store
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating an exceptional employee and customer experience, with a passion for delivering outstanding service
  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to meeting sales targets
  • Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule of at least 3 days per week, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, late nights, and early mornings (if required for the role)
