Position Overview


As a leading entity in the design, manufacturing, installation, and servicing of advanced fire alarm and suppression systems, Johnson Controls International is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a PMA (Preventive Maintenance Agreement) Service Sales Consultant.

Key Responsibilities


The primary role of this position involves promoting and selling service agreements for a range of commercial building systems, including fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, sound, communication, and inspection services.

  • Identify customer needs and formulate effective sales strategies to achieve those objectives.
  • Close sales effectively to meet established sales targets.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage an active proposal backlog that aligns with the sales strategy.
  • Conduct thorough building surveys to support accurate estimates.

Approach to Success


Establish connections with potential clients and qualify leads for service contracts through scheduled sales calls and follow-ups.

  • Assess customer requirements and develop tailored sales strategies to enhance understanding of our service offerings.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all sales activities and submit timely reports on sales performance, expenses, and competitive insights.
  • Support the service department in generating leads for service upgrades or equipment enhancements.

Qualifications


Required:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time schedule with local travel availability.


Preferred:

  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to persuade and close sales.
  • Capability to navigate various situations encountered during the sales process.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field or equivalent experience.


Experience: A minimum of one to three years in a sales role within a related industry, demonstrating a successful track record.


Compensation and Benefits


Salary Range: $49,900 - $66,600 (Salary will be determined based on education, experience, skills, and market alignment.) This role includes a competitive Sales Incentive Plan based on project, quarterly, and annual performance.
