Job Overview

The Safety Team Inc is a reputable local firm specializing in fire protection solutions since 1983. We are on the lookout for motivated, energetic individuals who possess experience and certifications in Fire Sprinkler Systems and/or Fire Alarm Systems to play a vital role in our operations.

The Safety Team Inc is engaged in servicing, inspecting, repairing, and executing minor installations of fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and specialized hazard systems.

Essential Certifications Required:

  • NICET Level 2 for Inspection & Testing of Fire Alarm Systems and Seattle FD FA1 Certification
  • Active L&I 06 Limited Energy Journeyman License.

Alternatively:

  • NICET Level 2 for Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems and Seattle FD AS3 Certification
  • WSP ITT and Journeyman Fitter Certifications.

Additional certifications from the Seattle Fire Department and/or BackFlow Preventer License are advantageous.

General Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid WA state driver’s license with a clean driving record. A driving abstract for the past three years will be required upon hiring.
  • Applicants must adhere to WA State vaccination mandates due to the nature of our clientele.
  • New hires will receive cross-training in fire alarm systems and fire suppression techniques.
  • Additional certifications from the Seattle Fire Department, as well as state and national licenses, will be necessary.
  • Professional appearance is mandatory.
  • Reliability, high energy, and a desire to work for an independent firm are essential.
  • Candidates must be prepared to take and pass a basic written skills assessment prior to the interview.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations and multitask effectively is crucial.
  • Availability for a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (occasional early morning shifts and overtime may be required).
  • Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a quick learning ability are vital.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are expected.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.

Additional Requirements:

  • Overtime may be necessary on short notice, including 8-hour plus days, early morning starts, nights, and weekends to accommodate client schedules.
  • Capability to lift and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders, using high lift equipment up to 40 feet, crawling in tight spaces, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Participation in the mandatory On-Call program is required.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Compensation:
