Job Title: Senior or Principal Sediment Remediation Practitioner

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior or Principal Sediment Remediation Practitioner to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants. As a key member of our sediment remediation practice, you will be responsible for managing challenging technical projects, leveraging your expertise to expand our current practices and capabilities, and mentoring early career staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage technical projects, including planning, budgeting, and implementing investigation and remediation projects.
  • Evaluate contaminated sites and develop remediation approaches, including feasibility studies and removal action work plans.
  • Lead the development of work plans, data evaluation, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Implement remedial pilot tests and systems, including vendor selection and logistical coordination.
  • Write technical reports, letters, and proposals, and oversee and review documents prepared by project teams.
  • Build a portfolio of clients by winning new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients.
  • Foster trust-based relationships with clients, regulatory personnel, and other project stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide early career staff in project performance, cost, schedule management, and client expectations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred) or geology.
  • Advanced degree in the same field (preferred).
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E. P.G.) (preferred).
  • At least 8 years (10+ years preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience in the Pacific Northwest marketplace.
  • Detailed understanding of CERCLA and other applicable state regulations.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Demonstrated success in client development and leadership.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments and meeting strict deadlines.
