JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a pivotal member of the finance team, this position reports directly to the Senior Finance Manager and collaborates closely with the Director of Financial Reporting, the System Controller, and the CFO to uphold compliance with all regulatory obligations and reporting standards.
1. Ensure that all regulatory submissions are executed with precision and within stipulated timelines, delivering high-quality net revenue assessments through transparent and efficient financial methodologies.
2. Act as the organization's authority on all tax-related matters, encompassing both non-profit and consolidated tax considerations.
3. Develop strategic initiatives that enhance tax structures and improve efficiencies in tax reporting processes.
4. Supervise the preparation of all necessary IRS documentation for both tax-exempt and taxable entities, including subsidiaries and joint ventures.
5. Maintain thorough risk assessments and process documentation regarding the tax-exempt status of the organization, ensuring adherence to all tax laws and regulations.
6. Provide expert advice and support to senior management concerning the formation of new entities.
7. Research and apply tax strategies for new 501(c)3 business transactions that may involve both tax-exempt and non-tax-exempt features.
8. Keep organized and detailed records of all tax-related documents and filings to facilitate financial and regulatory audits.
9. Collaborate with external tax professionals to produce and review year-end tax returns.
10. Conduct an annual evaluation of Transfer Pricing to ensure appropriate treatment of subsidiary transactions for tax-exempt purposes.
11. Assess risks associated with unresolved tax matters.
12. Assist in the preparation of the Community Benefit Report as required by regulatory bodies.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years in a relevant field
