Stroke Program Coordinator in Emergency Nursing

Full time Shift: Description: Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services, this role is responsible for the coordination, leadership, and strategic direction of the stroke program at Trinity Health.

The individual will act as a specialist in clinical practices and program development, showcasing expertise in change management, system enhancements, and patient care improvements.

This position involves collaboration with all healthcare team members and serves as a catalyst for change by establishing evidence-based practice standards, aiding in the execution of these practices, facilitating goal setting and achievement, and assessing outcomes for stroke patients.

The role ensures that all stroke patients receive comprehensive and timely treatment interventions that align with best practice recommendations.

Key responsibilities include maintaining The Joint Commission (TJC) advanced certification as a Primary Stroke Center (PSC).

Qualifications:

  1. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California is required.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required; a Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred.
  3. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR certification is required.
  4. A minimum of five (5) years of recent acute care clinical experience is required, with a preference for experience in neuroscience nursing.
  5. Ability to translate practice guidelines and research findings into clinical practice is essential.
  6. Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and resolving conflicts that may arise, along with the ability to adjust project scope as necessary.
  7. Advanced interpersonal skills are necessary for effectively communicating complex clinical and technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  8. Strong analytical skills are required to develop sound recommendations and assist in enhancing care delivery systems, policies, and procedures, as well as evaluating clinical practice outcomes and creating educational programs.
  9. Excellent time management skills and effective oral and written communication abilities are required.
  10. Previous experience in program development and management is preferred.

Compensation: Pay Range ($70.02)
