Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement evidence-based practice standards and protocols for stroke care
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and timely treatment interventions for stroke patients
- Maintain The Joint Commission (TJC) advanced certification as a Primary Stroke Center (PSC)
- Develop and implement educational programs for healthcare staff on stroke care and management
- Conduct regular audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with stroke care standards and protocols
- Provide leadership and direction to the stroke program team, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Develop and manage budgets and resources for the stroke program
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in stroke care and implement changes as necessary
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related area preferred
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card
- Five (5) years of recent acute care clinical experience
- Experience in neuroscience nursing preferred
- Ability to translate practice guidelines and research findings to clinical practice
- Ability to effectively identify, assess, and facilitate resolution of any conflict which may arise
- Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate complex clinical and technical concepts
- Advanced analytical skills necessary to develop sound recommendations and assist in implementing improved delivery of care systems
