Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stroke Program Coordinator to join our team at Trinity Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, leading, and directing our stroke program, providing expert clinical practice and program development, and demonstrating mastery in change management, system and patient care improvement, persuasion, and influence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice standards and protocols for stroke care
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and timely treatment interventions for stroke patients
  • Maintain The Joint Commission (TJC) advanced certification as a Primary Stroke Center (PSC)
  • Develop and implement educational programs for healthcare staff on stroke care and management
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with stroke care standards and protocols
  • Provide leadership and direction to the stroke program team, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources for the stroke program
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in stroke care and implement changes as necessary
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related area preferred
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card
  • Five (5) years of recent acute care clinical experience
  • Experience in neuroscience nursing preferred
  • Ability to translate practice guidelines and research findings to clinical practice
  • Ability to effectively identify, assess, and facilitate resolution of any conflict which may arise
  • Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate complex clinical and technical concepts
  • Advanced analytical skills necessary to develop sound recommendations and assist in implementing improved delivery of care systems
