Job Summary:
The Chick-fil-A Restaurant Operations Manager has the overall responsibility for the operations of the kitchen, including food safety, financial management, restaurant maintenance, cost control and analysis, inventory management, team management, and ensuring we provide superior service, quality products, and service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Maintain Chick-fil-A's mission, vision, and values, and ensure brand standards are executed.
- Financial Management: Control food cost by following inventory management systems, managing back-of-house labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions.
- Customer Service: Ensure excellent levels of customer service and properly handle guest complaints and concerns.
- Talent Management: Responsible for talent management, including staff selection, development, retention, and promotion.
- Team Motivation: Motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations, safety, and food quality standards.
Requirements:
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and team building skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment.
- Adaptability: Ability to handle fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environments.
- Business Acumen: Ability to increase store sales and profitability through operational improvement.
- Certifications: Must be Serv-Safe certified.
- Background Check: Ability to pass pre-employment (post-offer) background check.
- Availability: Ability to work variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Education and Experience:
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager in the restaurant industry, preferred.
- Certifications: Serv-Safe Certified.
Working Conditions:
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level, including delivery when needed.
- Work Environment: Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
- Equipment Operation: Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment, as well as operate phones, iPads, computers, copiers, and other office equipment.
