Job Summary

Holiday Diver is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for generating sales of destination, enhancement, and lifestyle products by providing exceptional customer service and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate sales of all product categories, including destination, enhancement, and lifestyle products.
  • Maintain updated product knowledge and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stock and replenish merchandise, ensuring that the store is well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Coordinate product exchange and transfers, ensuring that products are accurately processed and stored.
  • Stamp, mark, or tag price on merchandise, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Arrange displays to promote sales, creating an attractive and inviting store environment.
  • Complete sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining the orderly appearance of the store, ensuring a clean and safe environment for customers and employees.
  • Fulfill tanks and conduct inspections following company-sponsored VIP training, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Previous customer service experience, with a minimum of six months sales or related experience preferred.
  • Certified Scuba Diver or Dive Instructor highly desirable. If not currently certified, must complete at least the academic requirements of a scuba course within the first 90 days of employment.
  • A combination of education, certifications, and work experience may be qualifying.
  • Overall understanding of personal computer operations, including basic software applications and hardware.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, and vendors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative setting with a diverse group of internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, as dictated by retail needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Position requires employee to work on their feet 100% of the time, with the ability to stand for long periods and move freely throughout the store.
  • Ability to bend and squat, with the ability to lift and carry 40+ pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to climb ladders, with the ability to access all areas of the store.
  • Ability to read, write, count, and do basic arithmetic, with the ability to accurately process sales transactions and maintain cash accountabilities.
