Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
The Sales Associate will be tasked with driving sales of various products related to aquatic adventures by delivering exceptional customer service and education. This includes:
  • Generating sales across all product categories
  • Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge and addressing customer inquiries
  • Restocking and organizing merchandise
  • Facilitating product exchanges and transfers
  • Labeling merchandise with appropriate pricing
  • Arranging displays to maximize sales potential
  • Processing sales transactions and ensuring accurate cash handling
  • Assisting in maintaining a clean and orderly store environment
  • Conducting inspections and filling tanks as per company training
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:
Candidates should possess:
  • Previous customer service experience; six months of sales or related experience is preferred
  • Certification as a Scuba Diver or Dive Instructor is highly desirable
  • If not certified, completion of the academic requirements of a scuba course within the first 90 days of employment is necessary
  • A combination of education, certifications, and work experience may be considered
  • Proficiency in personal computer operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities

Applicants must be willing to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and be flexible with scheduling based on retail demands.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the employee to:
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Bend and squat as needed
  • Lift and carry items weighing 40+ pounds regularly
  • Climb ladders and access all areas of the store
  • Read, write, count, and perform basic arithmetic

Drug-Free Workplace:
Holiday Diver maintains a drug-free workplace in compliance with applicable laws. All new hires must pass a pre-employment drug test to be eligible for employment.

Testing will include a panel of substances as outlined in company policy.
