Key Responsibilities
  • Generate sales of all product categories, including destination, enhancement, and lifestyle products.
  • Maintain updated product knowledge and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stock and replenish merchandise to ensure a visually appealing and well-stocked store environment.
  • Coordinate product exchange and transfers to meet customer needs and ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Stamp, mark, or tag price on merchandise to ensure accurate pricing and labeling.
  • Arrange displays to promote sales and create an engaging shopping experience.
  • Complete sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining the orderly appearance of the store to create a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Fulfill customer requests for product information and provide recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Previous customer service experience, with a minimum of six months sales or related experience preferred.
  • Certified Scuba Diver or Dive Instructor highly desirable. If not currently certified, must complete at least the academic requirements of a scuba course within the first 90 days of employment.
  • A combination of education, certifications, and work experience may be qualifying.
  • Overall understanding of personal computer operations to effectively manage sales and inventory data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a diverse group of internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as dictated by retail needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Position requires employee to work on their feet 100% of the time.
  • Ability to bend and squat to access merchandise and maintain store appearance.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40+ pounds on a regular basis to stock and replenish merchandise.
  • Ability to climb ladders to access high shelves and stock merchandise.
  • Ability to access all areas of the store, including stockrooms and display areas.
  • Ability to read, write, count, and perform basic arithmetic to accurately manage sales and inventory data.
