Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Technical Leader to join our team at Early Warning. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and driving technical excellence across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with product management to develop and implement product strategies, ensuring alignment with technology roadmaps and business objectives.

  • Establish and maintain technical standards, ensuring high-quality outputs across multiple teams.

  • Collaborate with software engineering, product, and architecture teams to shape engineering approaches, share knowledge, and drive innovation.

  • Develop and present technical product designs and architectures to stakeholders.

  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.

  • Lead the development of a departmental-wide technical vision, driving strategic and successful change management.

  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in designing and developing complex software projects, with at least 8+ years in FinTech.

  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving technical excellence.

  • Effective communicator with exceptional public speaking skills, comfortable presenting to all levels within the company.

  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices, software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, LEAN), and DevOps practices.

  • Hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, JUnit, Tomcat, Microservices Architecture, Open Source Frameworks (Spring boot, Spring Core), Messaging frameworks (Kafka, Tibco EMS or JMS), Oracle PL/SQL, JavaScript, and scripting frameworks (JQuery, AngularJS).

  • Proven experience in test automation, OOA/OOD, and CI/CD pipeline implementation (GIT, Chef, Maven, Jenkins).

  • Solid understanding of modern Cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, MS Azure) and experience with code repositories (e.g. Git, SVN), bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Bugzilla), and Wikis (e.g. Confluence).

  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or another technical field.

  • Knowledge of Splunk, Altiris, and Zabbix.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, TerraForm, and other cloud orchestration technologies.

  • Experience with Monitoring & Alerting systems (AppDynamics).

  • Experience with other computer languages (C#, Ruby, Python, PHP).

  • Knowledge of ACH/EFT and real-time payment networks (RTP, FedNow).

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment, including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
