In the capacity of a Senior Program Management Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the oversight of complex multidisciplinary infrastructure initiatives, ensuring both technical and non-technical elements are effectively managed.
  • Providing expert guidance to clients on the technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects essential for the success of infrastructure projects, utilizing insights from previous programs and industry best practices.
  • Planning, directing, and supervising all facets of program execution, which may encompass various disciplines such as capital planning, change management, environmental compliance, engineering, financial support, and risk management.
  • Identifying potential challenges and risks that could affect program execution, assisting clients with problem-solving and strategic decision-making.
  • Creating and implementing comprehensive plans and processes to enhance efficiency, accountability, and transparency within the team.
  • Overseeing services delivered by large program teams or providing leadership on significant projects.
  • Facilitating effective communication within the team to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Securing necessary resources to fulfill contractual obligations while maintaining compliance.
  • Monitoring team performance and establishing a robust quality assurance program to meet client expectations.
  • Evaluating the financial performance of programs against established metrics and making adjustments to achieve profitability targets.
  • Contributing to the expansion of HDR's program management services by nurturing client relationships, identifying opportunities for service enhancement, and mentoring staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • DBIA certification.
  • Experience leading a program management team for large-scale infrastructure projects valued at $1 billion or more.
  • Familiarity with alternative delivery models such as public-private partnerships and design-build.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant licenses or certifications such as Professional Engineering License or PMI certifications.
  • A minimum of ten years of program management experience, including four years in a senior role, with experience managing programs valued at $500 million or more.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team cohesion and culture.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting to executives and large audiences.
  • Experience with collaborative project delivery methods.
  • Proficiency in tools for managing large programs.
  • Experience working within a Program Management Office (PMO) environment.
