Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Manager

MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance of our fleet of buses. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all contractual requirements are met, managing a budget for maintenance programs, and supervising a team of maintenance technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of our fleet.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Manage and control parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including clients, to ensure seamless maintenance operations.
  • Manage financial and accounting aspects of fleet maintenance operations, including budgeting and reporting.
Requirements:
  • At least three years of recent experience managing maintenance functions in a transit bus maintenance shop.
  • Experience managing a team of 10+ employees, including fleet technicians, service workers, and cleaners.
  • Experience working with 50+ buses within the last year.
  • Previous experience in passenger transportation or a similar environment is preferred.
  • Ability to manage and interface with clients, track and control parts inventories, and prioritize and implement work schedules and projects.
  • CDL Class B with passenger and airbrake endorsement.
