Fleet Maintenance Manager

MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of our fixed route bus fleet.
Responsibilities:- Manage all maintenance aspects of the fleet, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, budgets, and programs to optimize fleet performance and minimize downtime.
- Supervise and direct a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring they have the necessary training, resources, and support to perform their duties effectively.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.
- Monitor and control parts inventories, track maintenance costs, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including management, drivers, and customers, to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure MV Transportation remains compliant and competitive.
- At least three years of recent experience managing maintenance functions in a transit bus operation, with a similar scope, size, and complexity.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a team of maintenance technicians, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Experience working with 50+ buses, with a strong understanding of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
- Strong technical competence, with a solid knowledge of managing audits, PM schedules, and financial/accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats, with strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook.
- CDL Class B with passenger and airbrake endorsement.
