Fleet Maintenance Manager Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance of our microtransit operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management, with experience in managing a team of technicians and maintaining a large fleet of vehicles.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct a team of technicians to ensure timely and efficient maintenance of the fleet.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Oversee the management of parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers to ensure cost-effective maintenance.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Manage and track financial and accounting aspects of the fleet maintenance operation.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in fleet maintenance.


Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in fleet maintenance management.
  • Proven track record of managing a team of technicians and maintaining a large fleet of vehicles.
  • Experience working in a microtransit environment is a plus.
  • ASE or manufacturer's certifications are a plus.
  • Technical competence with light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to manage and interface with clients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
