Compensation Range

The salary range for this position is $159,330 - $245,544, with specific levels outlined as follows:

  • SES.3 Level: $159,330 - $204,636 Annually
  • SES.4 Level: $191,220 - $245,544 Annually

Please note that the compensation range is a guideline and may vary based on several factors, including education and experience.

Position Overview

We are looking for skilled engineers to join our interdisciplinary team of Systems Analysts. Your role will involve assessing the resilience of various infrastructure systems against cyber, physical, and natural threats. You will utilize your technical expertise, critical thinking, and analytical skills to tackle complex problems and provide insights that inform decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate analytical questions and strategies to deliver insights on intricate infrastructure resilience challenges.
  • Lead teams in developing and applying innovative analytical models and tools to evaluate critical infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams of scientists and researchers across multiple technical disciplines.
  • Identify opportunities to implement research advancements in national security initiatives.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical information to stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison for program managers at partner organizations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Additional Responsibilities for SES.4 Level

  • Utilize advanced technical expertise to devise innovative methods in systems engineering and risk analysis.
  • Engage with Federal, State, and commercial partners to develop new projects.
  • Oversee multiple technical teams to ensure project execution aligns with client priorities.
  • Manage and mentor other analysts within the team.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship.
  • PhD in engineering, computer sciences, operations research, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in infrastructure systems, energy systems, cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in risk analysis, systems analysis, decision analysis, or data analytics.
  • Proficient in developing models for complex infrastructure systems and assessing associated risks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Experience leading technical teams in project execution.
  • Willingness to travel for client interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with government agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security or Department of Defense.
  • Proficiency in modeling and simulation using programming tools like Python or MATLAB.

Security Clearance
