Compensation Information

The annual salary range for this position is between $132,810 and $170,556 for the SES.2 level. Please note that this range serves as a general guideline and actual starting pay may vary based on various factors including education, experience, and market conditions.

Position Overview

We are in search of highly skilled engineers to join our multidisciplinary team of Infrastructure System Resilience Analysts. This role involves analyzing the resilience of various infrastructure systems against cyber, physical, and natural threats. You will leverage a combination of technical expertise, critical thinking, and analytical skills to tackle complex problems and provide insights that aid decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate clear analytical questions and strategies to deliver insights on intricate infrastructure resilience challenges.
  • Create analytical models and frameworks to evaluate key issues related to infrastructure resilience, including interdependencies and impacts from various threats.
  • Utilize physical and computational simulations to gain insights into complex infrastructure systems.
  • Innovate and develop methods that integrate tools from diverse fields such as systems engineering and risk analysis.
  • Collaborate with experts across multiple technical disciplines, including cybersecurity and natural hazards.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively, ensuring deadlines are met while working independently.
  • Articulate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
  • Engage regularly with technical contacts from partner organizations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship.
  • Master's degree in engineering, computer sciences, operations research, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in developing models to assess complex infrastructure systems.
  • Proficient in defining research questions and establishing robust methodologies.
  • Experience in presenting technical concepts to varied audiences with strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with computational disciplines such as risk analysis and data analytics.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to devise innovative solutions.
  • Willingness to travel for client interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant field.
  • Experience in design and operations of infrastructure systems.
  • Proficiency in programming tools such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
